Welcome... Years ago, I was labeling and sorting my photos so I could remember when and where they were taken. Family and friends would ask me to send them copies of the photos. This process evolved into Waltrides.com where I put together this site to document the longer motorcycle trips I have taken over the years with Tammy and my friends. I hope you enjoy :). Please select a destination to the left to start your journey. I got my first dirt bike when I was 14, a 1974 Honda Elsinore 125, and have owned many other bikes over the years. Up until 2003, I have mainly ridden smaller dirt bikes. But I always wanted a Harley, so I decided to buy my first real street bike, a 2003 100th Anniversary Harley Davidson Road Glide. I took my first long distance road trip in 8-03 to the Sturgis Harley Bike Rally in South Dakota. Since that time, I have been bitten by the motorcycle travel bug and continue to travel as much as I can. Travelling on a motorcycle is a much different experience than other forms of travel. You not only get the best seat to see the sights, but you also get to feel, taste, and smell, the places you ride through. Every time you stop the bike, people come up to you and start conversations. When you meet other bikers on the road, you have new friends to hang out with. I enjoy very much travelling by motorycle. Hopefully, me and Tammy will see the world from the seat of a motorcycle. My current stable: 2007 KTM 990 Adventure. She is heavily modified and has a lot of extras added for comfortable long distance riding either by myself or with Tammy 2-up.
